No off-hand attack has a low enough recharge.

Well, the sole real alternative would be Palm Strike. But it has a 10s recharge. I've tried a random-ish build that went (I think, not sure anymore)
Siphon Speed -> Black Spider Strike -> Death Blossom -> Palm Strike -> Death Blossom -> Impale
Or something like that, could've had Augury of Death as an extra hex as well, with Signet of Toxic Shock as a possible follow-up.
But, anyways. No real alternative if you want a skill similar to Moebius. Guess that's what it's elite, and other direct off-hands have a certain requirement.
Now that I think of it, Palm Strike could use a buff. Keep it as an unconditional direct Off-Hand, but lower the recharge, it IS an elite after all (people prefer anything that kd's -> Falling Spider/Lotus Strike anyways)

until you get your hands on mobius, you can use a quick chain like jagged>wild>DB. it sucks, but it dosnt really matter in low-level pve.

yeah, it does. mobius is the best choice by far in PvE. the only thing that really compares is AP, but its just not as good.

WotA for the Scythe Sin! Which does basically the same thing as MS-DB.

Only slightly less. And you don't have to press any annoying keys.

Running a scythe sin means you're relying on enchantments that will get stripped often depending on the area, and is affected by armor....enemies in pve often have unusually high armor (even casters) and can put your scythe sin to shame.

Use Golden Fox Strike -> Wild Strike -> Shattering Assault combo. Or if you REALLY want to use Critical Strikes instead of Dagger Mastery, get a Barrage and use A/R. It's pretty nice on a hero.
Shadow Form works only in running/farming, not general pve.
But really, MS/DB is the best combo for assassin.

I've been loving the brawling headbutt -> falling combo in PVE. With crit agility brawling charges in no time for frequent KD's and decent armor ignoring damage (assuming you have a good rank in delver)
